A bit about Pam

I have lived in North County my whole life.  I was born in Escondido, raised in San Marcos and Leucadia, and began my adult life in Coastal North County 35 years ago. In my youth, I worked at restaurants throughout Del Mar, Solana Beach, La Jolla, and Rancho Santa Fe to put myself through college.  As the first in my family to go to college, having completed a PhD and working as a university professor is a proud accomplishment.  I am a lover of people, pets, and the environment.  Alongside my husband of 20 years, I have raised my children in District 4, specifically in Village Park.  I have been an active PTA mom and neighbor since the day we moved into our townhome in 2004.  We have developed deep friendships with many Olivenhain neighbors through years of baseball and soccer as well as my husband's volunteer work as the LCC Surf Team manager.  In our home we value the community-minded lifestyle that Village Park has given us, and we emphasize the importance of mutual respect and a focus on human rights and dignity in the way we conduct our daily lives.  I want to bring these values to the work of city council by seeking the guidance of my constituents in a purposeful way, which to me means maintaining an open line of communication and a goal of consensus in decision making.  I hope you'll support me in my goal of contributing to our beautiful community by electing me to city council!
